To the anonymous individual that was to chicken sh*t to identify themselves when they wrote the following, "update your blog stop acting like you don't have something funny to say. " Here is my response:
There is nothing funny to talk about. My life has become a boring routine. This is what I do when I get home after work:
1. Take off my shoes.
2. Drop my crap in the sofa, kitchen table, etc...
3. Turn on the little kitchen TV.
4. Decide what I will be eating that night.
5. Decide there is nothing, so I eat cereal, if there is no milk, I eat some frozen dinner.
6. While the food is cooking, or the cereal is soaking, I watch Jeopardy.
7. Start screaming the wrong answers to every Jeopardy question.
For instance: Hazelnuts are also called these, after a saint...
I say: What the hell are you talking about?
Response: WRONG! Correct answer-What is Filberts?
Who the hell cares, next weird question.
8. I do this for thirty minutes while eating my nutritious dinner. (I have yet to answer final Jeopardy question correctly.)
9. Then comes Wheel of Fortune. I suck at this as well, but not as bad. This takes no smarts.
10. Clean my dish.
11. Change into my pj's.
12. Watch more TV.
13. Then go to sleep. (Unlucky 13, because I have nothing to do.)
But maybe it will all change this weekend.

Wait Lists for Developmental Services.
Back in November Colorado had an amendment in the ballot in order to end the waitlist for Developmental Services. It did not go through. We were asking Colorado residents to increase their state tax. We were asking for 2 additional cents for every $10. A $5 cup of coffee would have been one more penny. Colorado residents thought it was too much.
Please VOTE through the following link, so that the Obama administration can at least see about a problem that some individuals would like to change. (You will need to register when you click on the VOTE section, 350 more votes are needed in order for it to make it to the second round. Please pass this along.)
Colorado is not the only state with this problem. Read the following, from a parent who has a child with a developmental disability.
VOTE!
"I'm writing to ask you to take one moment to cast a vote on the Obama Transition team web site in favor of something I posted there today to end waiting lists across the US for kids and adults with developmental disabilities. The link is posted on my blog at: http://www.1specialplace.blogspot.com/ It is at the top of the blog on the right side. For those of you who don't know yet what waiting lists are... when children with developmental disabilities become adults- parents would apply for services to help care for them such as community-based services to get jobs, programs to enrich their lives, group/host homes, attendant care, etc. Because most states have decades-long waiting lists, individuals may not get services such as this for MANY years after they reach adulthood. That will mean that parents have to provide 24 hour care, activities, job services, etc. Some parents have died before their children have received services. That is why this is so important. So please help by voting on the issue so the Obama transition team will see how important it is to parents of kids with special needs like me. We have to get over 900 votes to rise to the top of the health care agenda. So PLEASE tell all of your friends, family, and other listservs to vote as well.
Thanks, Renee "
